This project is Egypt’s second GSM network operating at 900 MHz. The first phase involved 200 sites, 150 in Cairo, and the rest in the City of Alexandria. The second and third phase covered the rest of the country with total number of sites tallying at 350.
Scope of Works involved planning, design and implementation from preparation of maps and initial plotting of proposed BTS, traffic planning and routing for the Minilink-E, survey of microwave links, site coordination, path profiling, network planning, testing of 2Mbps L/L circuits, As-Built documentation, installation, testing and commissioning of Minilink-E, installation/ commissioning of RBS 2202, installation, testing and commissioning of digital cross-connect equipment, integration of MSC/BSC and site acceptance testing, and Network and Material Planning.

ENTEL AND STARTEL PROJECT

Turnkey services for GSM Network involving Ericsson Minilink-E, DMC Spectrum-II, Nera and Siae Microwave Radios for two GSM Cellular companies. The project covered sites nationwide with 90 sites in Santiago. Microwave links were of short and long haul within extreme topographical conditions.

Telecom Data International was selected as a Service and Resource Provider to undertake the installation of BTS including Feeder, Antenna and Power System. This included Commissioning & Integrating of Nokia GSM and Ultrasite equipment. Recently, Telecom Data Engineers were recognized by Nokia Philippines for their quality work with no supervision, subsequently, Project Management was awarded to Telecom Data.

GLOBE GSM 900 EXPANSION / GSM 1800
TRIAL PROJECT - Ericsson Philippines
Philippines, 1999

Turnkey contract for the Globe GSM 900 Phase 2 Outdoor and In-Building coverage for Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao. Services included Radio Network Planning, Installation Engineering, and Transmission Network services with As-Built Documentation. Coverage included more than 150 outdoor cell sites (new and change-out sites) and 25 in-building sites in prime locations nationwide.

GSM Network/Transmission Engineering and Design. Scope of work covered: Radio Network Planning; and, Transmission Network Services that included path profiling, calculations and analysis, traffic planning and routing, link line-of-sight survey, network and microwave materials planning.

PT TELKOM PROJECT (MGTI)

This is a 200,000 Wireless Local Loop (WLL) Project. Scope of work included: planning for the DRA1900 radio system and overall transmission engineering; planning of DRA1900 systems with survey and preparation of maps for all prospective DAN sites and Base Stations; GOS and traffic capacity computations; survey of DAN/Base Station sites and RNC (Radio Node Controllers, CB-Channel Banks, RPC (Radio Power Cabinets) at the local exchange; preparation of As-Built Drawings; survey of microwave links; network planning, site coordination, and path profiling; and, general engineering support such as coordination with the subcontractors for the radio interference studies and with the Client’s (MGTI) Operations Department regarding the implementation of the WLL.

SUNTEL / TELIA LANKA PROJECT

This is a 54K lines WLL (Wireless Local Loop) Project. Scope of work involved: planning of SDH and PDH systems survey and preparation of maps indicating all proposed DAN sites/base stations; preparation of path profile calculation, analysis, performance and availability calculation; survey of 2Mbps transmission links, traffic planning and routing for the Minilink E equipment; network and material Planning; rain fading analysis and radio frequency interference study; installation, commissioning, testing of DRA1900 system (i.e., DAN sites, base stations, microwave links); general engineering support coordination for radio frequency interference studies; and, coordination with the Operations Department on WLL As-Built Documentation.
